I was raised in a Christian home, and gave my life to Jesus at age 4.  I rededicated my life to the Lord at a summer camp in 1985.  Since that time I have sought to follow the Lord’s leading with a few personal detours along the way.

Yet, in God’s amazing Grace, He gave me a wonderful wife in which we were married in 2000, and have been blessed with four beautiful children.

On September 3, 2003 I received a call from the Lord to assist Mark & Amber Swift with the venture of faith in planting this Calvary Chapel here in Columbus, Ga.  I give all the Glory to the Lord for His Hand in my life and in bringing us here to serve this body, at this time, in His Love!  Shalom, we look forward to the future, for our lives are in His hands.

His ‘till the end,

Kevin G Zeitlin

I  started out as your typical kid who
spent Sunday mornings sleeping through a pastors message at the local
Baptist Church in Charleston, SC.  My parents did a great job raising
me to be the perfect little Christian, instilling all the proper
morals that every good little boy should have.  Unfortunately, during
high school, I decided that I had a “better” plan and direction
for my life.  It started out as small, barely noticeable sidesteps
from my walk with the Lord, and by the time I was entering college it
had become a full-fledged sprint in the opposite direction.  One
thing I learned while trying to out-run Jesus... He's FAST!  He will
catch you, promise.

Let me tell you, if the Wonderful,
Loving, Creator of Everything would bother coming WAY down into the
pit of a world I had created for myself, He will surely do the same
for you.  A few years after my life had quite literally exploded in
my face and left me totally confused, without direction, and
completely self-destructive, Christ, in His great mercy, introduced
me to the person He would use to bring me full-circle back to
Himself... my wife.

Chasity and I got saved together,
dedicated our lives to Him, and have been watching His hand in our
lives ever since. We were blessed with the job of raising up two
great boys, Shelton and Bryton.  It has been a joy watching their
love for the Lord grow as they do. God drew Chas to the Praise Team,
and drew me back to my skateboard and a ministry known as
“Boardriders.”  It was here that I fell completely in love with
seeing Jesus Christ at work in today's youth.  I was given the amazing
opportunity, by Mark, to work with our youth here at CCC.  It's an
incredible thing to watch someone, with so many negative influences
around them, be totally sold out for the Lord.  Satan may be attacking
you, the world may have given up on, or forgotten you, but Jesus is
right there with his hand out longing for you to take it... I pray
that you do.

Your bro in Christ,
Rick Hobbs

I was raised in a Christian home and at the age of 13 gave my life to the Lord and was baptized.  I walked with Him for many years and as I believe we are all prone to wander, I wandered far away from Him.  In my mind it was all God's fault, a loss of a dear friend, a family falling apart. I blamed God for it all, and everyday grew more and more distant from him.  I spent 3 years living of the world.  He used Eddie my husband to question my life, with the simple words, "do you LOVE God," and as the Father is faithful He brought me back to Him.  No one was going to snatch me out of His hand... (John 10:29).  Ever since He has blessed me with a peace that I never knoew could exist.  And I do LOVE God with all my heart, soul, and mind (Matthew 22:37).  I do my best, by His grace to walk closer with the Lord everyday so I can be more like my Jesus.

Eddie and I were married in 2003 and have two crazy and fun kids, Jude and Irie.  Eddie's Army career keeps us moving and that is what brought us to Columbus.  We were so happy when our internet search found Calvary of Columbus, as we have attended Calvary's in the past, and always feel at home in a Calvary fellowship.  We have been blessed to have been here two years already and hope God keep sus here for a very long time, but as we pray for His will we are excited to see what He does in our lives.  In the meantime He has given me the ability to serve at Calvary and I am loving it.  I pray that the little bit I am doing will be used to further His Kingdom.  There has been so many awesome things happening in my short time here and I can't wait to see what the Lord has in store for Calvary of Columbus.  This is my life verse, I hope that it blesses you... " Love must be sincere. Hate what is evil; cling to what is good.  Be devoted to one another in brotherly love.  Honor one another above yourselves.  Never be lacking in zeal, but keep your spiritual fervor, serving the Lord.  Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer.  Share with God's people who are in need.  Practice hospitality."  Romans 12:9-13
